Web Design

Web design in Monterey
& Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Custom websites for Peninsula businesses — designed, photographed, written, and launched by one studio. No handoffs, no stock photos, no template that looks like everyone else's.

A website is the first thing
most customers ever see.

We have been designing for Monterey Peninsula businesses since 1994 — restaurants, hotels, builders, realtors, nonprofits, and shops from Carmel-by-the-Sea to Salinas. Our approach to website design starts the same way a brochure or a sign does: by understanding the business, then photographing it properly.

That last part is the difference. Most web designers in Monterey have to send you somewhere else for photography, then build around whatever comes back. We shoot it ourselves, so the site is built around real pictures of your dining room, your job site, your storefront — not a stock photo another business on Ocean Avenue is also using.

And because we print large format in-house, the brand on your website is the same brand on your menu, your banner, and your vehicle.

Common Questions

What people ask before we start.

How much does website design cost in Monterey or Carmel?

It depends on how many pages you need and whether photography is included. Every project is quoted individually, and you get a real number before any work starts — usually within a day of talking. Call 831-236-1998 or send a note with what you have in mind.

Do you work with businesses outside Carmel-by-the-Sea?

Yes. The studio is in Carmel-by-the-Sea and we work across the Monterey Peninsula — Monterey, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach, Seaside, Marina, Sand City, Carmel Valley, and Salinas. Most clients prefer meeting in person, which is easy anywhere on the Peninsula.

Do you take the photography for the website too?

Yes, and it is the main reason to hire us for a website. Manny is a working commercial photographer, so your site is built on real photographs of your business rather than stock images. Most web designers have to send you elsewhere for that.

How long does a website take to build?

A straightforward small-business site usually takes three to six weeks from the first conversation to launch, including a photo shoot. Larger sites with e-commerce or many pages take longer. The schedule is set before we start.

Will my site show up on Google?

Every site we build ships with the groundwork search engines and AI answer engines look for: fast pages, clean titles and descriptions, structured data describing your business and service area, a sitemap, and Search Console setup.

Ranking locally also depends on your Google Business Profile and your reviews, and we help you set those up — it is usually the fastest win available.

WordPress, Squarespace, or custom?

Whatever fits the job. Many of our sites are hand-built in fast, static HTML, which loads quicker and costs less to host than a template platform. If you need to update content yourself often, we will set you up on something you are comfortable running.

Either way you are working with the same website designer start to finish — the person who designs it is the person who builds it, shoots it, and answers the phone afterwards.
